William H. & Mabel Ella Whitlock House
1442 Vincennes Street
New Albany, IN 47150
Sheriff Sale

Listing Description:
This house was built around 1908 and William and Ella Whitlock were the first occupants of the home. William was a singletree maker at the Todd Manufacturing Co. in New Albany.

The structure was in the path of the deadly tornado of 1917 when more than 60 New Albany residents lost their lives. From the photo below, it appears that the Whitlock house was spared any major damage, while the house to the left, at 1444 Vincennes, had extensive destruction.

It appears that William died in the mid-1920s and by 1927, Ella was no longer living here.

The property’s judgment number is 22CO1-2009-MF-001086.  With this number you can visit the Clerk’s Office in the City-County building and enter it into their computers to find the judgment owed on the property. This is public record.
