Smith-Phillips House
3000 Lewis A. Endris Parkway
New Albany, IN 47150
$199,900

Listing Description:
This brick residence was constructed circa 1860 for William Smith. He was the son of Floyd County pioneer Martin Smith who purchased this land in the 1830s. The farmhouse was later purchased by the Phillips family in 1941. The family sold the property to neighboring Northside Christian Church in 2000, and the house was subsequently used for church offices. It was moved a short distance across the church’s parking lot to its current location in April 2022.

In its new location at the entrance to Kevin Hammersmith Memorial Park, the house is ready for new life as an office, restaurant or retail space in this very high traffic location. The property will be sold subject to a preservation and conservation easement held by Indiana Landmarks.

The historic house is approximately 1500 square feet: seller has worked with an architect to develop design concepts for an addition, which could yield a total of more than 3,600 square feet by blending historic charm and modern utility, convenience and accessibility.
